It's hoped that all 3 sections of the walkway will be lifted in place by around 4pm. The archways probably next weekend and it's expected to be completely finished by the 9th of December

Doesnt the walkway need the archway for support?

They'll be supported by 3 tressles as the walkway is in 3 parts

took it for granted that the arches where to be put in place first, makes more sense now.

sounds daft SP, but I think the arches need the walkway for support, the walkway will stop the arches opening like the pages of a book, they will then support each other.

he was there quiet a while I was there half an hour and he was there before me, he was still there when SC got there, and he is on the video they are making, he refused to climb on the top of the wagon.

Mrs G and I went for a walk around the stadium, all we could say was WOW!!! , the whole time we were there we couldnt stop smiling, it is superb close up , and a credit to Mr McManus and the board who have produced it

we started walking past Tesco`s , this is the view you will get coming from the McDonalds end

then we came across the mysterious red glass panels we have heard about , they dont seem to be in any kind of a pattern

    they still look very stylish

as you can see you can now get quite close to the stadium

Mrs g couldnt resist touching the stadium (her first chance)

and a look at the bridgeworks

the mysterious hologram turns out to be a projection of some kind , i like the "Ex Terra Lucem" under it though

between the lift doors in the main reception is this plaque

stairway to heaven from the top

Just a thought guys but what will you all do when the mission is complete?

A pleasure to meet you all this evening SC and Doghead, I did catch a sneaky smile also off mrs g this afternoon when was parked up in wife's car next to new roundabout in front of tescos about 2pm. I expect that's when mr g decided to get up close and personal with the stadium( them wind braces at 45degrees mr g are cool for sliding down my son says)
Nobody said life would be easy

Sorry to bring the mood down with this thread but can you actually drive up to the stadium now & if so how close can you get? The reason I ask is that my dear Dad passed away yesterday & will now never get to visit the new stadium. I am thinking of asking if we could drive up to it on his final journey.
