there is 4 of them chunky lampost that I know of, they will be for security, at the bottom of the stairway there is one with a lampost a couple of feet away so they are not for lighting. could be wrong though.

[Does this shed any light on it?]

Find it difficult to judge the scale - would I be right in thinking this is a similar size to the KR one plus countdown clock, even though it looks smaller?

Looks fine to me, the scoreboard only needs to tell the score and have a clock on it.

Brilliant pics again, looking really impressive and that pic from RVM is particularly good for me as it's from the stand where I've got my season ticket. The stadium is fantastic, I feel proud that it's ours.

It's good to see they're finally putting double gates on both the North East and North West corners.......although it stops me taking pics of the inside of the stadium lol
KNOWSLEY ROAD 1890-2010. A part of history soon to be no more...the place that meant so much to so many people. Farewell old lady, forever in our hearts.

I'm installing similar columns at work and they are CCTV. Not to state those are but very similar indeed.

On matches when we don't have the big screen would the club let you stick one of the flags on there?
It would fill up a void.

Is it a cycle shelter or a smoking shelter for stadium staff. They look a lot like the ones we have at work.

May be dragging up an old sore point here but I've missed the whole cladding issue.

Just to check, is it going to be fully enclosed and why were they planning (or still planning) on leaving part of the ground open?

If you look at the plans posted by saintpeter it shows an update picture. Its is going to be enclosed however with "ventilation dips"

Saints will have the best non cladded rugby stadium in the country?

The original build specification was open plan.

Saints have submitted plans for cladding to enclose the stadium.

Plans are in planning permission process at St Helens Council.

The stadium will be enclosed once the plans are approved.

The timeframe for all this is ASAP.

And yes, it's a sore point with the spectators but apparently on the cards the whole time with Saints, which I can believe as I've since found there are lots of fittings to be made post-handover.

On Wed night Big Mac said the current config of the stadium is what the club bought, with the roof providing a kind of halo effect. The additional work to fully enclose it is extra and will be funded by the club, and should be complete before the season starts in Feb.

Camera now fitted on top of the one at the foot of the steps. Also lines being marked out on East Stand car-park. Notice they have those fancy display walls at the Tescos entrance as well - doesn't look they will have the stadium name on then. Must be the name of the whole plot - "Stadium Park" maybe?

Stadium keys being handed over on Monday.

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I picked up leaflet in Tesco yesterday.
Says that Town Centre store closes at 4pm Sunday 31st October and the new store opens at 8am on Monday 31st.
