The bridge? That's supposed to be fitted complete isn't it? Just a thought.

I think it comes in one or two parts but there is a lot of ground prep and piling will need to be done.
I know there has been a lot done in the ramp area at the front of tesco but there has been very little work on the bridge site recently, so it was good to see them in action on site again.
The only thing left to lift that can warrant a crane that big is the bridge sections, wonder if they are being stored on site before being fitted.
It's not the for the bridge. Been a few probs with the piling and lost 7 weeks. Ground problems and has took a hit on cash to do it as required. Bridge is end of October at present. Does come in bits and temp supports will be built in centre of road to help.

Was told today how much the grass cost to be put in and was very shocked - I can't remember the exact figure but it was around £150,000.
How much has Wheelan spent on re-doing the DW?

Have a look at the screen at Cowboys Stadium - it's larger than a basketball court...
If I recall, when the Linkway was built, that stretch had to be re-done and opened late, at least 3 months after the rest of the Linkway. Something to do with chemicals from years back ruining the ground and turning it into a swamp?
They have to drill 4.5m into rock to achieve the certificates of acceptance so I'd say your probably right about the ground conditions.

got told last night the piles need to go into the bed rock, also I thought the delay with the link road was coal, they found coal and it has to be removed.[/QUOTE]
A bit more political but I can't elaborate more without possibly getting a few verbals but it's now up and running again and its expected to finish as planned.

Drove past the new stadium on.... Tuesday morning! It's looking good. Can't wait for it to be finished! The new reception area ( I think it is - The bit with all the black glass? ) Looks really nice.

Tescos will be severely peed off if that bridge is late - i.e. opens after the shop has opened. In truth it's more for them than us. The rugby based design of the bridge is just a political sop.
Can't wait to finally see the red added. Should be ace. Any pics anyone nearby?
