Was up billinge hill yesterday and the new stadium can be quite clearly seen from any point on the road leading upto the hill (from Crank Road), as you stop and look back towards the town, it's at the bottom right of the large gas tower, the 7 stansions were really easy to pick out. I would imagine when built it will be as easy to see as the JJB is on the other side.
Never could see knowsley road from up there.
Just had a look this morning saw two crane's arrive on the cam, can only see one on site, anyway the one you can see is not a cantilever type, but it is a giant its a big power crane and is being assembled along the floor, big long box section jib about 25 yards long, my guess its for the precast concrete terracing, it could also be used for low level steel erection.
Just wondering if the new stadium is going to have seating or standing areas on the corners? like the kc stadium
Crawler crane is the hard to get to places that a wheeled crane cannot and can be built to a fair size. The White air bags are exactly that I expect,White bags full of air that should be placed around the wagon with steel on as fall protection for the chap who chains it up.
Looks like it full steam ahead based on your reports. It's good to see every weekend when I come home. One construction site I won't be sick of seeing.

KNOWSLEY ROAD 1890-2010. A part of history soon to be no more...the place that meant so much to so many people. Farewell old lady, forever in our hearts.
Construction now started on the West stand as well.
can be seen on the Tesco webcam
Well spotted, will the two stands meet by the end of the week?
It was standing room only behind the Burger King this afternoon, eight or nine came in the ten minutes I was there, several more sat in their cars, most taking pictures a couple with binoculars.

Cracking shot that SC,
Do you teleport from one side of the town to the other? lol
You must have a good camera. One hell of a zoom on it. Mine's a compact digital from six years ago with a zoom that probably gets me about three inches closer! I haven't even attempted new stadium shots but now that there is actually something big and visible on there I might try at the weekend!
Great shots btw. And it's dead exciting actually seeing something go up on the site!
