This may be a stupid question but why is there a massive gap between the pitch level and the seating?
there are alot of different materials under the top soil, land drain systems etc..... the gorund will be getting built up about 700mm then the will be concrete around the pitch area
Anyone know who designed the stadium?

Wigan are averaging just over 18,000 a game this season.
Our stadium's capacity is 18,000 i think?
Does anyone actually know whether there is room for expansion?
Would be great if we can fill our stadium on a weekly basis, i'm sure the stadium will get a nickname for the atmosphere the fans generate in it.
With it having no gaps, it is going to be terrific.
Nobody said life would be easy

Brilliant pics from today. When you look at the size of the workmen in comparison to the stadium it just makes you realize how big the build is. It looks awesome. Thanks for the pics.
