Default Your favourite Home & Away kits.....

seeing as we're having some controv over this seasons kits, both home and away, I thought it'd be a good idea to find out what kits we actually DO like.

So what is your favourite home kit and your favourite away kit ever, they dont have to be from the same season either, try and post some pics if you can too!

    So here's mine:

IMO - best looking home kit EVER! 2009, fittingly sported by the best player EVER!

Loved the '96 away shirt too!

The blue and white one was actually a home kit

As for my favourites - I always loved the 2000 home kit disproportionately as it saw a return to plain white with a red vee after a long run of horrible '90s kits. For away kits it has to be the "Meninga" dark/light blue. I wish we just had the home kit design in those colours for our away strip every season.

I agree. This years home is the best since 2000 and possibly my favourite one ever. This years away kit I think will be up there too. Great design and I assume the quality will be the same as the home shirt. Well done Saints.

Other than that, The Pilkingtons Active Blue Vee a couple of years ago was a cracker as was the 1993 ??? Wizzer and Chips away shirt (no picture sorry)
Born in St.Helens (Lancashire). Live in Hull. Probably die in Hull if I keep wearing this Red Vee.

The home kit Saints wore when I first started going and I don't think it's ever been beaten since.

Same as me, although it always bugged me that the "St. Helens Glass" logo on the replica top was wrong. Mine's all yellowed now and is a bad reminder of the long gone days when I could get into an XL - I can get an arm in just about these days...

In fact, there is a photo of me at 14 with Mal Meninga and the Legendary Supporter aka Billy Bates and I am wearing the aforementioned top whilst Mal is in the green and gold. We met them at OT on one of their tours. Another great memory of that shirt. Incidentally DD decided to publish the said photo, some time back on here!

Personally the 1985 NZ Tour kit sponsored by Pilkingtons is probably the one I am most fond of in ' home' colours. As for away possible the ' Meninga' year away kit with the light/ dark blue.

    Default 1999 Away Kit

Been racking my tiny brain over this one - but can anyone describe or post a pic of our away kit in 1999? The home shirt was the last mizuno shirt with the John Smiths sponsor, I know that much, but not a clue about the away shirt!!!!

Hmmm when i try & go to page 2, i get the Forbidden message, but i can get page 1 as normal?

    |My favourite kits, are the 2008 Pilkington Active ones, especially the Away Light Blue/Dark Blue V one. I do agree, the V is for the Home kit, it's not mandatory the Away kit should have a V, i do like a change on the Away kit now & again.
This is the last play, Long, kicks it wide to Iro, Iro to Hall, Hall is trapped, back it goes to Hoppe, over the shoulder to Hall, there is Jonkers, here is Long and Long fancies it, Long fancies it, it's wide to West, it's wide to West, Dwayne West, inside to Joynt, Joynt, JOYNT, JOYNT!, OH, OH!
They've won it, they've won it, they've won it. Chris Joynt; Chris Joynt has won it. It is unbelievable here, it is, frankly, unbelievable. Chris Joynt has won the match for St Helens.
