    Default Going To Widnes

Does anyone know if it is likely that buses will be available to get to Widnes fron St Helens if the club play there temporarily? It is difficult to get to the Stobart stadium by public transport. Or is it too early for such a consideration? Coming from 'way outside the heartlands information is hard to come by. Thanks for any info.

I think that Saints will definitely sort some public transport out we should find out soon enough.

The 17 and the 17A are public transport buses from St. Helens tro Widnes. Get off at the end of Birchfield Road.

Theres also the 33A (arriva), but the service currently terminates around 5.30pm on weekdays, and no service on a sunday.

Theres no train directly from St. Helens to Widnes, a train journey would involve a detour to either Warrington or Liverpool Lime Street.

I would imagine that the club will want to encourage ppl down to Widnes once we move, so expect a shuttle bus service from KR or where-ever to the Halton Stadium.

Confirmed yesterday - the club are in talks with Arriva to provide subsidised transport to / from Widnes.

It's 17B in the Evening & Sundays, however it's every 60 min, last bus to St Helens from Widnes is 10:40pm[although that might change], Widnes Asda couple of stops after Green Oaks is where you want to get on/off

This is the last play, Long, kicks it wide to Iro, Iro to Hall, Hall is trapped, back it goes to Hoppe, over the shoulder to Hall, there is Jonkers, here is Long and Long fancies it, Long fancies it, it's wide to West, it's wide to West, Dwayne West, inside to Joynt, Joynt, JOYNT, JOYNT!, OH, OH!
They've won it, they've won it, they've won it. Chris Joynt; Chris Joynt has won it. It is unbelievable here, it is, frankly, unbelievable. Chris Joynt has won the match for St Helens.
