I was down the road watching Edwyn Collins at the Deaf Institute. Excellent gig in a very intimate venue reapidly becoming my favourite place to see a band.

Edwyn looking stronger and his voice is improving and he looked like he was enjoying himself.

Next up Morrissey in Leeds tomorrow night.

Is that on Grosvenor Street, a few doors away from my old office? Many a happy hour whiled away in the pubs down that street before Friday night rugby came and ruined it all. lol

went to see muse at the echo arena,

never been to a gig in my life where the act has come on before nine o clock.

got in there at 8.40, muse were already on and had apparently been on since 8.20, they went off at 9.55.

not too impressed, new album is pap anyway.

1st time in the echo arena, its tiny!

back there this friday for arctic monkeys, will be there in plenty time tho because eagles of death metal are the support

Going to see George Thorogood and the Destroyers again next year at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. Can't wait! His gig at the Greek in LA was absolutely fantastic!

    Default Morrissey

Glad I went to the Empire earlier in the year

Can't say I totally disagree with him halting Sunday night's show. However, I think Mark Radcliffe hit the nail (or was it a bottle?) on the head by suggesting he should have 'called off' for half an hour after giving a final warning.

That was a hell of a lot of people to disappoint for the sake of one 'numpty' who got a little over excited.

Quite an expensive night out for those that went - about £10 per minute for what they got

anyone see the artcile on north west tonight (last night) re; the Echo getting a bad rep.

they had a music journo on who was caught up in scuffles at a Kings Of Leon gig at the echo arena. They reckon banning alcohol at gigs may be enforced.

how about banning scousers as that seems to be the common theme.

Not the 1st time with Mozza though. I watched The Smiths 9 times and half a song, the half a song came at Preston when he was hit on the head part way through The Qeen is Dead. We were kept inside for almost an hour, when we were finally let out, the streets were full of police who were anticipating trouble from disgruntled fans, again this was caused by 1 idiot

    And me as Div knows...

Hoping they will reschedule the gig, although not over optimistic.

Certainly dont think the Echo arena will be the venue of choice if they do.[quote]

Just hope there is not a reoccurence. His recent work is excellent, and I hope I get the chance to see it again. Hope he throws in a few of the lesser known songs as well 'vicar in a tutu,' 'asian rut' etc

A chance of the former but doubt the latter. Set list does not vary much over a tour.
