I thought Julian White was lucky on two counts.

    1. He got off lightly with his ban.

    2. That he knocked out Sheridan. If he hadn't I'd have feared for him. Sheridan benches 210 kilos!

Its a good job the adverts came in between the extra time of the Heineken Cup Semi and that kicking contest because I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.

I played Union for 20 years, but cannot watch the game now. The lack of skill shown by the majority of players is staggering and the only way they can impeove the game is to make it Rugby League

Must admit , if i do watch the odd game of union , i find it so frustrating . Its like get on with it . Really annoying for me , as well . Living down ere in Devon . Real big Union part of the country . We have got the south west conference in league . But that has only got six teams in it . But i try and watch the Devon Sharks , as often as i can . League is starting to take off down ere .
But i refuse to switch to the old ....lets boot it into touch , and upfield brigade . So boaring , compared to our boys . Just wished sometimes , i lived up there with you guys .

Watched the Tri Nations this morning and it was more skilful and entertaining than any Super League match this season.

    Default Catalans away

    Catalans away!

Sounds good that, kinda like anchors hoy or whatever it is sailors say.

I won't be going though, been there done that and got the Tshirt. It's in the loft with my collection of Rugby Union shirts.

Top game tonight on Sky Sports, great effort from Sarries against Sud Efrika. That bloke winning 250,000 quid for hitting the cross bar too. How many people can say they've done that and at Wembley?

Impressive crowd and venue considering it was just a midweek tour match. Don't get that in League. Or charge downs. Not anymore, another reason why I won't be going to Catalan.

I went to that game. Mainly because I like Wembley and we had the padded posh seats with drinks holders in Club Wembley . It was however my first and last game of rugby union. The kicking and large stoppages just got too tedious for me and the combination of that and my padded seat was making me very sleepy. It also said on the ticket to "please be quiet when players are taking their kicks.

I did love the guy winning £250k though. Was absolutely surreal. Just strolled up booted it, I knew from the moment he kicked it that it was going to be close. He said before he went up to kick it that he'd "take all the saracens cheerleaders out for dinner" if he won.

My step dad did a lot of work with one of the clubs he played for with Will Carling, and never had anything bad to say about he conducted himself, in fact felt he got a bad press.

Barnes, however, could be on fire in front of me now and I would not spit on him to put it out.

It has to be said there is little bitterness towards our game that eminates from the Union commentators anymore, having said that what does tends to be from Stuart Barnes on Sky and that other tosser on the BBC Moore!

Last saturday radio 5live apologized for something brian moore had said earlier that day, this is what he said and his apology. shows you how crass the man is.

He mentioned a game where Mike Teague got an attack of thalidomide when trying to handle the ball during a game

"Finally, I would like to apologise unreservedly again to listeners of Radio 5 Live for my comment on Saturday. I used the wrong words in telling a story about one of my games at Twickenham."
    www.helpforheroes.org.uk

"The socialism I believe in is everybody working for the same goal and everybody having a share in the rewards. That's how I see football, that's how I see life."

It's not about the long ball or the short ball, it's about the right ball."

Shontayne is a common name in the West Country: arr I'm a gettin me scrumpy with Shontayne.

In the rest of the world, it's better known as Shaun.
