was instrumental in Saints win with the ball in hand. One bad performance with the boot shouldn't rule someone out of an international squad. The lad has never been a great and consistent kicker

They said during the game last week-end that he had an 80% rate for place kicking, wish we had a goalkicker with that rating

Northampton Saints haven't had a reliable kicker in years. Myler is turning into a very talented fly-half with the ball. I doubt he will ever make it at international level though as this is where the boredom of kicking everything really does come into play.

Which would be fine if there was another kicker in the team.

Unfortunately if you are selected at 10 and you are the only kicker in the team, then 2 from 8 is unacceptable.

Especailly if you had a bet on there being 6 points more in the game than there was lol

the coaching staff know what his kicking is like, if they don't select another kicker (and to be fair they don't have a single top rate kicker in the squad) that is their mistake. Granted Mylers kicking was woeful though (not just the fact he missed them but the technique and distance missed by with some of them) Myler is a makeshift kicker as Reihana couldn't hit a cows ar*e with a banjo earlier this year

He'll get there - Paul Grayson is coaching at Northampton and he was one of the best goal kickers in the last 20 years. Myler is exciting the kick-and-clappers because of his ability to manage the game with ball in hand and putting runners away.

He missed a couple that he should have got last week (and that cost me as well!) but the final one he got last night was absolute quality. 2 of the misses were off the uprights remember.
