Default Social event for Scully - 31st Jan 09

I've been asked to let you all know that there is a night of comedy (Johnny Vegas and friends - including 3 famous comedians) for Scully on 31st January 2009 at St.Helens Theatre Royal.

The tickets are priced at £17.50 each and are available now from the Theatre Royal Box Office.

If this could be made sticky I would be grateful. Cheers.
Proud to be an Ade fan

I'll be giving that a miss. £17.50 per ticket, it's a rip off.

    Who are the famous comedians?

I was always taught to respect my elders,
but it keeps getting harder to find one!

I don't see how you can judge that before you know the comedians on show.

The comedy to me is the £17.50. He's got enough money, I'm just one of many who don't believe in Benenfits. Unless it's for someone badly injured, then i'll give no matter who he plays for.

When Take That (or a high profile group you love) charge £40+, do you laugh at that?

If the comedians that turn up are 3 leg end comedians, £17.50 is a snip for todays going rates.

Scully does have enough cash tbh!
3 leg end comics wont be on show otherwise they'd have previously been announced. Testimonials are old hat nowadays, especially as Scully makes/made more in a year than most people do in 5 years! If he came out before his testi year and announced that all proceeds were going to charity, well then its worthwhile!

This isn't the point I was making. If the act is good enough, Scully's earnings do not come into the equation.

I choose not to avoid gigs because the act has too much money. I go because I wish to see the act.

How many people are purely going to watch Johnny Vegas?

As do we all however this is an event organised to benefit someone who already is financially secure,in a time where the mass majority of people are struggling to make ends meet.

The clue is in the thread title!
