To be honest I think the price is irrelevant in these cases.
The people who are going to go to a pre-season friendly with little or no first team on show will go if it is £10 or if it is £18
Those who do not go to friendlies because they are meaningless will not go even if they are £10.

Yes but a cheap price may just sway those people who are 50-50 about going. Some may want to see the younger lads but money may be a bit tight straight after Christmas. Like I said, I am working so cant go, but if I was off, I would have gone with a £10 admission, but not at full price.
Lancashire Cup Final will be a better choice of game.
We will have to agree to disagree on this one pal, I reckon 3 - 4k there, no matter what the price! The only way you would get people who are not interested in friendlies to go is if it was nominal, ie a couple of quid or free!
I have not been to a friendly, football or rugby for over 8 years!

Just a point of order, not that it matters much, the pre-bought tickets are 14 quid for people without a season ticket. I believe a season ticket gets you some further discount.

I have been told today from a VERY reliable source that there will be a good number of first team players playing on Saturday. The rest of the team will be made up of some of our youngsters. Apparently it will not be our acadamy squad that are playing.
Not sure what a 'good number' amounts to, but there will be a few of them about.
To be honest I don't care to much what the team that gets played is - its a good chance to give some of the young lads a run out and a chance for people to see some of the future prospects up against 'better' opposition than they generally face when playing for the reserves.

I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.
