Default Kicked All Over The Park...

Fantastic kicking game from Leeds, they got their tactics absolutely spot on.

We were absolutely shocking, no go forward what so ever.

Shame to end the season like that.

Its a pitty as we had all the hallmarks of taking everything away from Leeds this year but beaten on the night by a battle hardened team who were up for it. Anderson face at half time team talk was a picture. He was so annoyed, but nothing could stop the role and Leeds deserve the win.

They pressured us when we was looking to kick it, we didn't pressure there kickers, that was the difference.

leeds tactics spot on, as soon as i saw how wet it was, was sure would be suited to leeds.

some tough calls aswell from the refs tonight video ref got halls try completely wrong, was knocked on with his left hand before grounding with right forearm.
looked so bright after our superb opening try but then we just disappeared,

shame, anderson will be regarded as a coach who bottled the big games. 4, 1st place finishes in 4 years and 1 championship is a terrible record.

    pryce,roby, cunningham were shocking tonite.
    closely followed by the rest.

Yes, their kicking game was spot on for the conditions plus Sinfield kept spotting Wello being too far up and kicked early in the tackle count him run back to retrieve and then making us having to clear from deep.

This is wrong - their abilities with the kicking game are far superior to ours. It's a problem we've had for a while (probably since Tommy Martyn) and one of the reasons why we don't play that well in the wet. We cannot put teams under enough pressure, forcing repeat sets or 40-20's. Doesn't matter to us most of the time as we're good enough in other areas. It's an area we need to address urgently though.

Alos we tend to score very few tries from kicks. Compare this to other SL teams and they score far more 'cheap' points that way.
