Disagree, if it was only champions then we could well have won it 8 times by now, I don't want to pay top money to watch games against standard liege and the champions of latvia and serbia. I want the premier Euro comp to be that, the premier teams. I do think however 4 from some countries is taking the **** more than a little....
For me the Carling Cup has more value than the Uefa Cup, afterall you don't get into the carling Cup 3 rounds in after being knocked out of the FA Cup do you!

I had the misfortune of working at the Mancs Inter tie this week, against a side with a decent striker the mancs would be out!
It makes me laugh when I hear the rubbish on the terraces and on this thread, especially as the year has gone on and Liverpool have remained their closest threat.
There is no doubt Liverpool are improving nder Rafa, despite the mistakes along the way, and when the inevitable takeover happens in the summer, and the new stadium is built the extra revenue will bring us very close to Utd, and consequently we will be abe to compete at a more equal footing in the transfer market.
Thats when I expect to be consistantly competing for the league title year in year out. No matter what anyone says, money talks and we havent spent anything like the mancs or chelski, and havent got the same depth in squad.
In answering St Bert: Nobody mentioned Bolton playing football, I made reference to Teams showing Utd to much respect and the likes of Newcastle, Bolton etc hve faired better in their approach and have got bodies into the box. Utd's record against the top 6 this season isnt the best, but they have struggled recently at Bolton especially away, and the Ronaldo penalty decision at OT got them the win this season. Newcastle drew at your place and missed chances to go 2-0 up at home, the Stoke away game also close with them having good chances and after a sending off conceded in last few minutes.
A postive approach and a ref with a backbone will see the terraces emptying for the long trip back up the M1 and across the channel!

No difference in some of the teams that we play in the group stages now. Aalborg? Even if we did play the champions of Latvia/Serbia early on in the comp, there would still be the German/Spanish/Italian teams to play in the knockout stages.
Some of the group matches are about as competitive as if we had played the champions of an Eastern European country.
You need to check your facts first Lee. Utd buy the league? Have a look at the amount spent by each club since the PL started. You will find that Utd have spent about 7m more than Liverpool.
Whilst we usually make one big signing a season (Berbatov, Carrick in recent seasons) you spend 7-8m on utter shite like Dossena, Lucas, Voronin etc. It all adds up. Check your facts mate
Firstly, how are you paying for the new stadium, are you going to finance it yourselves like United have done or are you going for the public hand out like City? If you are going to pay for it yourselves, as you should, then look at Arsenal to see how their long term future has been secured by sensibly NOT splashing out in the short term.
Secondly, if ever there was a pot kettle black for fans living more than 25 miles from the stadium then Liverpool would be it.
The last fans survey indicated that United were 6th in a table of teams who has season ticket holders travelling more than 25 miles to the game, I wonder who was top lollollol
Mind, never let the Mickies have a good self pitying cry and whinge about someone else despite the facts..

When is the cup presentation Gaz?
How silly do Reacher and Peter Soutos tash look now.
Care to comment again and assess the lkes of Dossena, Lucas and Aurelio after todays dry bumming!
Not progressing under rafa, the gap IS closing, we have been far superior against the other big three teams this season which has been a problem in the past, and excel in Europe, and are currently ranked as No1 by FIFA. Youre comments make you look a clown!
The reds will without a shadow of a doubt fill their new stadium when built, there is a 8 yr waiting list for a season ticket, the club is massive and to suggest otherwise again shows your your views are being clouded with the rivalry between two great clubs.
Foreign players take time to bed in to english football, I am convinced the likes of Babel, Skrtel, etc are and will be good buys. The likes of Ngog, Lucas, etc etc are young players that as the transfer fees suggest wont initially be first choice players but are showing improvement. The point comparison proves their is progression under rafa. Rafa is the third quickest manager in Liverpool history to 100 wins and although he has made mistakes like EVERY other manager in the transfer market, not sure about Lucas, Dossena not suited to the english game.
For the record we have lost only two league games this season, missing the likes of Torres and Gerrard regularly this season has effected us up top. If that isnt signs of improvement, feel free to put me right!

Ha ha ha ha
Means absolutely zip if you dont win the league. You can beat us home and away every year if you want and we will keep winning the league. You will drop points in the next couple of weeks against some no marks like you did against Boro.
Inconsistent shite. Do you really think we will be arsed if we win the league again?? When you used to win the league regularly (all those years ago) we used to have great results against you but yet you won all those trophies.
It gives you bragging rights, just like when we did the double over you last season (including a 3-0 tonking)
Oh and some waiting list when you have struggled to sell out for some European games in the last few years. If you dont believe me check your attendances. I am right.
"reacher, peter souotos tache, st bert, ski, vi har slått dem alle sammen, vi har slått dem alle sammen [we have beaten them all, we have beaten them all]. Reacher, can you hear me? Reacher [...] your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!"

Comedy moment!
If it doesnt mean anything why the full page rafa style rant! lol
I notice you failed to answer any of the questions posed, or the facts raised.
In answer to the European games, we have not failed to sell any of them out, take it from me, Ive attended them all and have requested additional for colleagues / family members and got knocked back, and that includes the Standard liege qualifier. I would imagine a reduced crowd would be the away allocation not being fully taken up, and the two front rows are always covered over I presume for security purposes: the same thing happened against Madrid on Tuesday.
A win against the arch enemy "not meaning anything", I'll remind yoy of that quote the next time I see you hopping up and down at the Wigan Saints game.

Hardly a full style page rant. Just makes me laugh how some of you now have hastily arranged avatars and pics of the scoreboard. Its a win and another 3 points.
And you are still behind us in the league! It was not even a title decider. Oh how the mighty have fallen celebrating a win in orgasmic fashion.
When we did the double over you last season, you did not see pics of the scoreboard up in here. A little bit sad really.
I'll talk to you seperately over your shite European attendances. Am not talking about the last 3-4 yrs, but its within the last 10.
See you at the end of the season when its 18-18.
