I'm 57 and a half and feel as lively as Jack Owens and Matty Dawson when they scorched down our flanks, and on other days I feel fit as a butchers dog.
Answers on a postcard......a prop playing scrum half or a scrum half playing prop ?
Josh Thomson and Ben Currie our 2nd rowers next year?
Regardless, I'll miss Taia
Why do people keep mentioning Ben Currie? Name a good game he has had in the last couple of seasons.....
Anyone else think it’s strange Saints haven’t announced it yet? It seems the whole world knows he’s signed already but nothing from the club.
Or is the club looking to find a replacement (of some sort) for Luke Thompson first, that will join the club as of immediate effect? There is quite a lot of movement going on in the NRL at present and if Saints have been struggling financially over here, you'd think the same would apply to other SL teams.
I strongly believe SL will resume this season and Saints have suffered a massive blow in their effort to retain the title, losing one of their most influential players- he's actually Saints joint top try scorer this season and I think second in metres made (behind Taia). The CEO didn't reference Thompson leaving or any plans to replace, in his statement. The Chairman's earlier comments suggest to me that he's reeling from the departure and knows this will hurt the club's chances. He doesn't seem the type to take it lying down if he can make it work financially.

STEVO
In a way I think the pressure is off, as any team that fails this season will have the stock COVID-19 excuse ready. In a way I hope we use the season to sort out our tactics and maybe build for next season. I’m still not sure we will finish the season anyhow.
Re Saints not yet announcing J Thompson it’s not that unusual. Saints always like to make sure all the T’s and I’s are sorted. But as suggested maybe we await another joint signing.
Let’s face it - in the UK (not Oz) the season is over with a hybrid competition now at best. I’m sure what is left of what we have will be heavily influenced by our current paymasters Sky - best that can be done is prepare for as strong as 2021 as possible and hope we still have a decent broadcasting product.
