Rob Fleming is a London record store owner in his 30s whose girlfriend, Laura, has just left him. At the record shop — named Championship Vinyl — Rob and his employees Dick and Barry spend their free moments discussing mix-tape aesthetics and constructing "top-five" lists of anything that demonstrates their knowledge of music.

Come on mate, the Clash could have 5 entries in that list on their own!

The members, I still have a copy of at the Chelsea Night Club somewhere and Sound of the Suberbs, Solitary Confinement and Offshore Banking Business are on the MP3 mega mix in the car!

Jah War, I had the speakers of my stereo at the head of my bed as a youth and this one used to sound fantastic, not arf!

I do have a guilty pleasure of liking "The beds too big without you" by the Police.

"Watching the Detectives" is a personal fave and I still love "King" by UB40

Talking of 'Eels' there is an interesting documentary on BBC4 tonight - 'Parallel Worlds - Parallel Lives' at 20.00 (and again later). It is fronted by Mark Everett or 'E' from Eels and tells the story of his father's theories about Parallel Universes, how they were dismissed at the time but are now becoming found to be the best explanations of the theory. But more importantly it deals with the father/son relationship they never had, how E's perceptions of him changed on his journey and it is also backed by an Eels soundtrack and some actual footage. Well worth a watch if you did not see it last time.

Would have to put 'Fortunate Son' and 'Have You Ever Seen the Rain?' on that list (personally)
Had the privilige of seeing him in June at the Apollo - just stunning - 3 rows from the stage too. A great singer/guitarist and the slickest/tightest band i've ever seen.
