coming back from town this afternoon via fingerpost there where loads of coppers escorting about 20 or so lads/fellows into town. anybody any ideas

........It was the start of the annual, "Can You Find Saints' New Ground", competition. It usually gets a bit ugly when the competitors realise the task is a forlorn one(hence the police escort).

at about 1.15 this afternoon at windle lights on the road to crank,a coach had been stopped by about 5 yellow police vans,along with police dogs and we think armed police were present.it was as if the coach had been stopped on a tip off.i dont know why it had been stopped or if the two incidents are connected

well they must have come a long way the coach was from scotland!

seriously,thanks for that,yet another reason why rugby league is a far better game than football.theres still a lot of trouble round football matches,and after watching villa and man u last night im not surprised.they must get so bored watching its no wonder they start to think about fighting after the game.it really was a boring game.
