View Full Version : Favourite Christmas Song?

Paul Cullen's Mantra

As the season of goodwill is almost upon us I thought I would ask the question, "What is your favourite Christmas song?".

White Christmas for me....I think my rendition is far superior to that of Bing Crosby's effort....well, I am slightly biased.

The Yobs Christmas Album

Very un-PC punk versions of christmas carols and a few original compositions. I think it was actually The Boys recording under a pseudonym.

I originally put "Xmas" instead of "Christmas" in there and it has be subsequently edited....obviously democracy, free speech and the right to express one's self has been eradicated from this site???:???:

Its Christmas. No arguement with free speech. Its just Christmas.

Fair enough..

PS.It's argument NOT arguement, and there should be an apostrophe between the t and s before Xmas.

Estne tibi forte magna feles fulva et planissima?

Pogues for me too, or maybe ELP. Always enjoyed singing 'In the Bleak MidWinter' - hardly appropriate with the current state of our winters (13.5c at 2.00am yesterday - what's that about?)

Merry Christmas to One and All !!!!

After a re think i have plumped for Cliff Richards - Mistletoe and Wine as my all time favourite xmas song...you know the one....
The child is a king, the carollers sing,
The old has passed, theres a new beginning.
Dreams of santa, dreams of snow,
Fingers numb, faces aglow.

Xmas time, mistletoe and wine
Children singing christian rhyme
With logs on the fire and gifts on the tree
A time for rejoicing in all that we see

A time for living, a time for believing
A time for trusting, not deceiving,
Love and laughter and joy ever after,
Ours for the taking, just follow the master.

Xmas time, mistletoe and wine
Children singing christian rhyme
With logs on the fire and gifts on the tree
A time for rejoicing in all that we see

A time for giving, a time for getting,
A time for forgiving and for forgetting.
Xmas is love,xmas is peace,
A time for hating and fighting to cease.

Xmas time, mistletoe and wine
Children singing christian rhyme
With logs on the fire and gifts on the tree
A time for rejoicing in all that we see

Oh how i love this time of year :D
