This is the side I'd go with:

Paul Wellens (St Helens)
Ade Gardner (St Helens)
Martin Gleeson (Warrington Wolves)
Keith Senior (Leeds Rhinos)
Gareth Raynor (Hull FC)
Leon Pryce (St Helens)
Rob Burrow (Leeds Rhinos)
Jamie Peacock (Leeds Rhinos)
Terry Newton (Bradford Bulls)
Adrian Morley (Warrington Wolves)
Gareth Ellis (Leeds Rhinos)
Jamie Jones-Buchanan (Leeds Rhinos)
Kevin Sinfield (Leeds Rhinos)

Subs:
James Roby (St Helens)
James Graham (St Helens)
Stephen Wild (Huddersfield Giants)
Sam Burgess (Bradford Bulls)

I think the majority of those players are in good form. The likes of Senior, Sinfield, JJB, Gardner, Burgess and Wild have earned their spots IMO, whilst Wilkin and Fa'asavalu's form has dipped towards the end of the year.

I've got a feeling Smith may pick Fa'asavalu or Wilkin instead of Burgess though and he may select McGuire over Pryce, depending on whether he's fit or not.

Wouldn't be suprised if Morley gets a ban for that high tackle though.
So maybe Maurie will get his chance?

It wouldn't come as a surprise. If Morley misses out Burgess or Graham to start, Fa'asavalu on the bench.

pryce is a utiltey player as he can be put in for any of the backs. the half backs WE NEED a reconised pairing and the leeds pair are the best as. newton has the power at the start then robz to kick it up the gear and fa'asavalu on the bench i believe the term is wind him up and watch him go, Gleeson first test but if he fails needs replacing i think his time at warington has made him losse skill. looks bias on the bench BUT that is the best impact bench in the UK game and it is rested

So the majority if not all (Fa'asavalu) can play for England in the World cup next year. With the the kick & crap brigade missing out yesterday it has given Rugby league in this country an opportunity to seize some well need media attention to our game.

This series against New Zealand needs to be treated as a warm up for next years world cup campaign.

It will need a massive achievement to win it, but by giving themselves enough preparation time to start with the nucleus of a team and to hopefully give themselves a chance.

IF we want to get the media, we neet to do a whight whash of the new zeland team but dowt that will happen though BUT if we do that then we stand in good stead for next year and we would need to get to the final and show we are capable but we have a 30% chance of winning the world cup but 30% is all we need

Club bias aside, McGuire is not fit to lace Pryce's boots. Pryce has to start at stand off

i know he is not but we need half backs that know each others styles and how thay play that is how the holes in defences are made most of the time

I reckon that Smith will go with Burrows and McGuire and will play Leon on the wing.

Pryce at 6, Danny can hang around in case he gets injured.
