Right lets get this underway, what is everyone's prediction for the final, this years looks to be incredibly close due to closeness of super league XII n'all that so lets get this started

Very close contest and for the first time in years I'm not confident. Still think we're good enough to win this though so have tipped Saints to win by 1-6.
Read in the paper this morning that one bookies is offering 11/2 for a Saints win between 1-5. Sounds like good odds to me.

I think there's going to be 6-8pts in it myself. 20-14, something like that. Low scoring, but more points than the Play Off game with the wider and bigger pitch.

This will be a close game but one which we should still win. I'm a bit fed up with sky and the beeb constantly talking leeds up but in one sense I'm happy to let us keep quiet and just do the job on the pitch.
I just REALLY HOPE that the goal kicking problem doesn't come back to haunt us when it really matters.

I can feel a big game coming for the Saints.just feel we've been reserved for a few games now (semi excepted)If we can step up a pace in attack (depends if Long plays)don't see us losing.

Can't get much closer than the Bradford game - 19 - 18
I think we might just shade this especially with everyone bumming Leeds up.
I think the team will be up for this one - we are due a big performance game. I just hope this is it.

Hate to be a doom and gloomer. I feel we are due a loss. :eek: :eek: Our winning streak has to end somewhere and I feel it will be on Saturday.
Having said that. I too am fed up with the media hyping up Leeds:( :( . The team that gets mentioned most in the media usually has egg all over their face. Why does no-one hype Saints up. We are on the brink of history and anyone would think it was our first title:rolleyes: If it was the Pies on the brink of the double treble we would not be hearing about anything else.:rolleyes:
Score: St Helens 18 Leeds 24.

However, I do hope I am proved wrong.:saint:

On this seasons form, and on paper, this should really be a close game.

However, I have a feeling that we'll get the upper hand early on and then run out quite comfortable winners.

So, I'll go for a Saints win by a margin of 18+.:cool:

mmm....let's think..(before i have a beer;) )

i can see........... saints scoring (without long)
3 tries
convert 1
score 2 pens
miss 2
tot= 18

leeds...........
2 tries
convert 1
score 2 pens
miss 0
tot=14
however IF long were to play, we can add a dg and conversion so a poss 21-14 .

leeds will however ONLY get 14 whatever:cool:

The majority of posters are great Saints fans but also have an insane bias, and bloated with success cannot see a pattern appearing. When everything is going ok - trophies galore - those who hint that there are cracks appearing, certain players are not world class or new signings needed are shouted down, with an address of how much success there is.

Only when there is an embarrassing capitulation like that in the GF do those with most say lose some smugness and start to realise that the team should be improved OR in retrospect, indicate that they have seen the writing on the wall for some time.
:cool:
Some may reply to this post that we have'nt had a bad season - which is true but will be just proving my point!
