We are about to unleash our Shaun onto the roads (I've put the motorbikes away for the time being) and we need some recommendations for local driving instructors.

Does anyone have any good contacts for patient, reliable, value for money instructors?

DSM is who I learned with, I don't have the number to hand but he will be in the yellow pages. Superb instructor taught me and all of my friends, I would recommend him to anybody. He has a few instructors but Ged is the main guy

Thanks for the replies.

In answer to those questions about whether I'm in St.Helens, does my location of God's Country not give it away;)

Honest, if I didn't live here I'd come here for my holidays!

Try Ken at Thatto Heath School of Motoring (01744 24486) - he taught me ane my Mrs in 1984 and we both passed first time. He's a true Gent - one of the old school - lots of experience and very patient.

Thanks again for all the responses.

One thing I've just realised from this is the reason that Turners fave tv show is the Soprano's it's because he is setting up Turner Inc. If he's not into it someone in "the family" islol

Just to back up what Annie said before, Ged from DSM was an absolute legend. Felt like you were learnin off one of your mates rather than an instructor. Based at the top of Hinckley Road as well.
