Is the lad good enough to get any game time next year or will he be released.

Interested which direction Saints will go with the likes of Talau and Gidley to retire over the next few years.

Retain as a squad player or release?

Dunno about Hull, but Jamie Foster is supposedly very highly rated within Saints and he's a sh*t-hot goalkicker too, apparently.

yeh, seen him play amateur a few times for Orrel, quality player, Saints have been chasing him for a while.
If I'm not mistaken he had a bad injury to his head a few years ago and it was doubtful as to whether he'd play again, luckily for us, and him he made a good recovery.

There are tons of good young kids coming through the junior systems in the game. its just the difficulty in getting them to make that sep up.

Sometimes its not the star juniors who make it.

James Roby is a classic example of a 17 year old who wasnt a star, didnt make any of the junior rep teams, yet now is a hotproperty.

How old is he? IIRC he's only been involved in a 20-man squad once, sounds much too soon to be talking about promoting him or releasing him TBH. Just let him progress like everyone else and if he's good enogh his chance will come.

Is he the Lomax that was on Wigan's books??
