Suprised Dixon hasn't been picked but also suprised that Ashurst and Armstong weren't in the original squad.

Considering we didn't have the likes of Graham, Pryce and Wello in the side we did well tonight, but it would of been nice to keep them at 10 instead of conceding two more tries near the end.

It was a bit disappointing. We need to foster a killer streak again so that we can make sure we do the Wolves in properly next week!

Attack wise we sounded very fluent though
Just got back from the match. We were better. But we handed the ball to them three times on our tryline in the second half, which was a shame. They were good moves too. I got the impression tonight that we still need to gel as a team. After all, there are some new combinations working themselves out and it is going to take time. But I was pleased to see Kyle take on the line a bit more and Shenton was very good tonight. LMS seriously impressed me with one of his runs. Man, he is quick for such a big bloke! Except for the last fifteen minutes when we seemed to take our foot off the gas, we were better in defence once the first ten minutes had passed. If we can just keep our defence going for the full 80 minutes then we are really making progress.

Still, a good score and a nice way to say goodbye to the Willows (unless we both end up in the playoffs!).

Sounded like a very dominant peformance on Radio Merseyside, and good mentions for LMS and Eastmond in particular. A bit disappointig maybe to let them score at the hooter, especially with it being said Simmons set them a goal of conceding no more than 16 each match. Still, I would have gladly taken that result at kick-off!

P.S They said LMS was put on report on the radio, did anybody see what that was for??

Haven't got a clue. I didn't see anything untoward happen but it was towards the other end of the pitch so I could have just missed it. Maybe something in the tackle itself. I think Moore was put on report too. We were so squeaky clean last week but this week there were more penalties and two reports! Newbie ref though, so that might explain it.

hazzo21
19th February 2011, 00:44
Not sure wy either player was put on report, I was trying to concentrate on not freezing to death!!
A good performance all round, Roby was probably the most dangerous again for me with good performances also from Eastmond, LMS (especially in 1st half) and Puletua. Gardner also took a few high balls when others seemed to struggle with the wind. Not sure if that was a one off though!!
Looked a lot more promising than last week, especially considering we had another half back combination and a few others missing.
Salford were very poor though and I dont think McRae will be sticking around too much longer if they carry on like that, especially if their fans have their way.

DD
19th February 2011, 01:41
LMS was on report for a high tackle. Not a lot in it. Nothing to worry about I would say.
